Community outreach is the key to reaching new community members and inviting them to be a part of your church family. It is vitally important to replace those church-members who have left your church because of relocation or other forms of attrition with new members of the community.

Since newcomers often feel overwhelmed in their new community, they are particularly in need of fellowship and spiritual guidance during the first months of their move. Not only are they dealing with the stresses of moving, but often they are also experiencing a job transfer, marriage or divorce, new baby or other additions or changes to their families that necessitated purchasing a bigger home or relocating to another area. Also, many new families are purchasing their first home and often need special attention and guidance. Unfortunately, many new homeowners do not know where to find the fellowship and spiritual guidance they so desperately need during this time of transition. By contacting them soon after their move, you will be providing them with the outlet they may be looking for.
